Bunch of Random Mechanics


Greetings!

In the past month or so, I have been programming a few mechanics, but mostly I have been trying to combat performance issues within the game that cause the framerate to drop to unplayable levels. 

An economy mechanic is in development currently, and this will have an impact on overall gameplay, similarly to real life. Taxes will, overall, stunt the growth of the player's economy, and cause mayhem when planning to attack the AI.

Speaking of the AI, it, too, has a new mechanic:

Citizens will now randomly either go get resources, or they will begin creating buildings, and they will only carry out the latter if they are in a group of 5 or more. 

Soldiers will now only attack if they are in a group of 6: 4 soldiers and 2 archers.  Afterwards, they will begin to attack the player. 


Boats and docks were also added, and they can only be placed shallow water. 

Boats are a bit buggy, and, for some reason, have issues moving. 

Other than these additions, I have mostly been doing optimization work.
